The V. Polak Breast Diagnostic Centre was established as a part of the Clinic of Radiology of General University Hospital and 1st Faculty of Medicine, of breast diseases, mainly on detection of early stages of breast cancer. Besides common diagnostic procedures we also perform specialized examinations such as tissue sampling under guidance of mammography or ultrasonography, localization of nonpalpable lesions, breast MRI, contrast ultrasonography and evaluation of lesions by sonoelastography. |

The Centre closely cooperates with other clinics and departments mainly with the Clinic of Oncology, the 1st Clinic of Surgery, the Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics and the Clinic of Pathology.
