This new separate unit mainly performs chest x-rays for the patients of the Clinic of Cardiovascular surgery. In cooperation with the Central department it performs other procedures in the field of diagnostics of vessels and heart diseases. In cooperation with cardiac surgeons it performs complicated interventional procedures on vessels in the operation theatre.
In 2012 was installed a new top-ranking CT device for evaluation of heart and vessels, obtained from the sources of the European Union (IOP) will be installed within the clinic. This novel department is a part of Complex Cardio-vascular Center (KKVC).
