The department performs all common radiography and ultrasonography examinations for the following clinics of the General University Hospital – the 1st and 2nd Clinic of Internal Medicine,  the Clinic of Nephrology, the 2nd Clinic of Surgery – Cardiovascular surgery including all their intensive care units.

The departments uses modern radiography machine Siemens MULTIX PRO with computed radiography FUJI system which was introduced after a complete reconstruction of the department in year 2003. Ultrasonography system Toshiba NEMIO SSA-550 A  with the possibility of Doppler imaging was installed in year 2005.
